Dorothy Wilde was
born in Welland, Ontario and worked for many years as a dress
designer in Montréal. She studied painting and sculpture at the
École des Beaux Arts, the Montréal Museum of Fine Art and Sir George
Williams College, all in Montréal, Québec. She has also studied
pottery and crafts at the Etobicoke, Ontario Department of Parks and
Recreation and at Sheridan College, Oakville, Ontario.
Wilde has been an
instructor in pottery, glazes and use of the kiln at the Oakville
Art Society, the Etobicoke Board of Education and the Burlington
Cultural Centre.
